What should look for when making bobbleheads?
Kneading is an essential part of bobblehead making, and its purpose is to make the unprocessed material evenly, to increase the internal density of the material, and to minimize the presence of cracks and air bubbles. A “mature” bobblehead will be easy to knead throughout the entire production process.

The most important part of the bobblehead-making process is the shaping, the success of the bobblehead mostly relates to the ability of imagination and creation of the maker. Simple bobbleheads can be shaped in several ways, such as spherical, drum, square, teardrop, column, curved column, and so on.

Color matching of bobbleheads is a key issue. The success of some bobbleheads often depends on it. If the artist want to create a wonderful or unique color, he/she need to mix the existing material of different colors. Firstly, the artist needs to understand the relationship between the three primary colors. Red, yellow, and blue are the basic colors from which many other colors can be mixed.

In order to make the bobblehead more lively, the artist can use other objects as tools to make the soft pottery with completely different textures, such as tubes, gauze, leaves, toothbrushes, combs, etc. of various thicknesses.
